I am very displeased with this company. The first time i have used a public storage facility and to my knowledge they added an option fee before even letting me know and then call me right as they're doing the auction to tell me that they're auctioning off my things and I had no idea this company is ***-poor when it comes to customer service no one knows anything and they can never get back in touch with anyone that you have spoken with nor is there any record taken of you calling and then what you're calling in reference for I will never... Access to unit after payment has been made. Public Storage operates bait and switch. They do not hold their employess accountable, they address an individual as if they have no understanding of law or the situation that has occurred. Anyone reasonable person understands that when you have paid , you should have access to your belongings, not Public Storage. Just another GREEDY CORPORATION that LIES and STEALS money from hard-working Americans. They explicitly explained the move out rules to me. I had TEN DAYS from the first of the month to clear out my unit and pay a pro-rated amount of $ for each day after the first of the month that it took me to get moved out. NOW, on the FOURTH DAY OF THE MONTH, they are saying I owe them the ENTIRE MONTH's RENT. They are saying they "changed the rules last month". A couple of weeks ago I made a reservation at a local Public Storage. I assumed that since the reservation had been made it was set. I called the location and let them know I might be stopping by to take a look at the unit so as to get an idea of size and fit. I never made it to see the unit but I made it clear I still wanted to lease it. I arrived at appointed date of move in and was told reservation had been cancelled. I agree. I moved in 4 years ago and I paid 53.00. Then the unit was 88.00 a month. Then next year was 98.00, the 3rd year was 108.00. Now it's 119. I told them that I didn't get paid but once a month from the football stadium on the 15th. They don't care. I get charged late fees anyway. I'm homeless so I have no we're else to go right now. There's enough money in late fees to pay the unit up for 3 years. Besides after thousands of dollars paid, I should have the deed to the place. There's been several break is in Charlotte too. My cousin and I rented this storage together, under the terms that they advertise every day on their website, that the 1st month is free if you pay in full the second month, and of course my cousin pulled out her ID before me, so I am just listed as the second person., The manager showed up three days ago giving me a two minute warning to get out before she puts a lock on it!!! and refused to give me a copy of the agreement, or the account number, saying only my cousin could get that info. They suck!!!! I been telling them since o Oct i wanted of of there. Not one person at public storage helped me. Then i sent emails to them,indicating aftér holiday i would get my stuff out. They sold my stuff was not happy because, i told them i got rid of my cell phone and only communication i had was thru email. YES I agree with what your saying, PUBLIC STORAGE HAS PUT Their Customers IN FINANCIAL RUINS. YOU HAVE TAKEN WHAT WE ACCOMPLISH AND THREW IT ASIDE FOR YOUR OWN SELFISH NEEDS. IF YOU HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH PUBLIC STORAGE BREAKING STATE LAWS AND TRYING TO OR SUCCEEDING IN ILLEGALLY AUCTIONING YOUR POSSESSIONS, PERHAPS WE SHOULD FORM A CLASS AND SUE THEM.
